The 38-year-old actress shot to fame as Kate Austen in the mysterious ABC series and is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hope van Dyne/The Wasp in 'Ant-Man' and will appear again alongside Paul Rudd in upcoming sequel 'Ant-Man and The Wasp'.

Lilly will also be seen as her superhero alter ego in the next two instalments in the 'Avengers' franchise - 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers 4' - and has spilled that there will be some time travelling going on, just like in 'Lost'.

Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, Lilly said: "When I heard about 'Infinity War' and the direction that they're heading, I did have this moment of realising 'oh, wow, there's a bit of a déjà vu for me with the 'Lost' franchise. We are hitting that ['Lost'] Season 4 space where everything's about to shift and you're about to lose the solid ground underneath you. And ['Ant-Man and the Wasp'], of course, will play a part in that."

'Lost', which ran from 2004 to 2010, follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner crash, flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, which lands on a mysterious tropical island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean.

The fourth season introduced the idea of flash-forwards after the third season finale revealed that some of the islanders did make it off the island, only to find they have to be forced to return.

Lilly also revealed that in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', the two titular characters are trying to enter into the quantum realm and return back safely, and she teased if they are successful it will "open a whole entire new multi-verse".

She said: "Those characters are experts in the quantum realm. In 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', they are trying everything in their power to safely enter the quantum realm and return back from it because they have evidence from the first film that Scott Lang (Michael Douglas) was able to that. If he can do it, why can't we? If we do succeed in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', then that does open a whole entire new multi-verse to enter into and play around in. I'm not the story creator, so I can't tell you what they're going to do with that. But I definitely see the potential there."

In August, Lilly teased her new costume for the anticipated sequel which is slated for release in July.
