Gary Oldman

The Oscar-winning actor - who won a Best Actor golden statuette this year for his performance as World War II British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill - has been cast in Martin Owen's dystopian drama which will explore a community of people in society desperate to act out their murderous urges who form a support group to try and stop them from committing the most horrendous of crimes.

Oldman, 60, will be joined in the project by Jessica Alba and shooting has already begun in London.

Owen - whose previous work includes 2016 sci-fi/horror film 'Let's Be Evil' - is being helped to bring his vision to the big screen by co-writers Elizabeth Morris and Seth Johnson and Matt Williams, who is is producing for Goldfinch along with Kirsty Bell.

Williams said: "We are extremely excited at the opportunity of working with actors of the pedigree and ability of both Gary and Jessica. In 'Killers Anonymous' we have created something that has the potential to become a cult classic, Martin is a truly exceptional talent and with the already brilliant ensemble, Gary and Jessica are the perfect tonic for this exciting project. They are well respected across the industry and we literally couldn't have found a better fit for the roles they are playing."
