Inspired by the author’s real-life story, Goodbye Christopher Robin follows the tale of the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin; the real-life inspiration for the fictional character of the same name. Using his toys also as inspiration for the magical world of Winnie the Pooh, the author became a household name with his unique storytelling. You can check out the brilliant first trailer for the film below:

Released to cinemas later this year, the film stars Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Kelly Macdonald and Will Tilston. As Milne and his family are swept up in the global success of his books, tales of joy and excitement are brought to England after the First World War, in a time when the country needs it more than ever.

With fame and success however comes the eyes of the world, and with that will likely come a cost to the family…
