Halle Berry has described her new movie Cloud Atlas as 'unique'.

The actress is set to join forces with fellow Oscar winner Tom hanks to brings David Mitchell's novel of the same name to life.

Berry will take on a whole host of different roles in the film - which was something that she was very excited about.

Speaking to the Sun the actress said: "I never could have imagined being part of any film like this. Playing a white Jewish woman was one thing, but playing an Asian man like Dr Ovid was something else.

"I loved it. Never in my life would I have thought anybody would hire me to be an Asian man.

"The film talks about the human soul and how an evil person can be transformed into a hero, in another body, after a single act of kindness.

"This film is something unique - I doubt if I'll ever get the chance to be part of this kind of a project again."

Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving and Jim Sturgess are just some of the other names on the cast list while Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski are in the director's chair.

Cloud Atlas is released 22nd February.
