Iron Man 3
Iron Man 3 has stormed through the $1 billion after just three weeks on release.
Iron Man 3 become the sixteenth movie to achieve this feat and the first Iron Man film to reach this milestone.
It has been a fantastic couple of years for Marvel films as Avengers Assemble became the first Marvel movie to break through $1 billion last summer.
The movie went on to gross in excess of $1.5 billion and Iron Man 3 looks set to get close to the total.
The film has so far grossed $1,073 billion after storming to the #1 spot around the world.
Iron Man 3 has earnt $311.4 million in the U.S. alone and is set to be one of the most successful movies of all time, let alone this year.
The movie is currently the ninth biggest grossing film of all time but it is closing in on the totals of The Dark Knight Rises and Skyfall.
However Robert Downey Jr's return for a fourth Iron Man movie is still uncertain - he is believed to be in talks to reprise the role in Avengers 2, Avengers 3 and Iron Man 4.
