A remake of the cult hit The Crow has been in the pipeline for years and Huston was brought on board when Luke Evans dropped out of the project.

Sadly, Huston was also forced to leave but it was not because of the creative differences that everyone expected. And the actor admits it was a hard to decision to walk away.

Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "I was so excited about it. I was so sad. I had a great relationship with everyone. Luckily that's all fine. It's a scheduling thing. It was just a scheduling conflict. We were all so jazzed to do it.

"It was one of the hard decisions that I, you know, one can't do and luckily they're brilliant and I just want them to just go and make a great movie so I'm just putting my heart out and saying I love everything about those guys."

Corin Hardy is set to direct the film but it has not been announced who will be taking over the central role of Eric Draven in the film.

As for Huston, we last saw him on the big screen earlier this summer in romance movie The Longest Ride, which was based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. He is set to return in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

The actor is set to take on the role of Mr Wickham in the adaptation of the Seth Grahame-Smith, which is inspired by the characters by Jane Austen.

Huston is part of a terrific cast as Lily James, Matt Smith, Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, Sam Riley, and Lena Headey are also on board.

Huston has also completed work on a remake of Ben Hur, in which he will take on the central role of Judah Ben-Hur. Timur Bekmambetov is set to be in the director's chair.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is released 12th February 2016 and Ben Hur is released 11th March 2016
