Eisenberg reprises his role as magician Danny Atlas in the crime heist sequel, while Radcliffe joins the cast as young technology tycoon Walter Mabry, the son of Arthur Tressler (Sir Michael Caine) the former sponsor of The Four Horseman who wants revenge for them losing his money and for causing his imprisonment.

Eisenberg says film fans used to seeing Radcliffe as the heroic boy wizard will be stunned by his performance in this sequel.

In an interview on UK TV show 'Lorraine', he said: "Radcliffe plays, like, the villain in this movie and he's just phenomenal. I mean I didn't really grow up on 'Harry Potter', but basically everyone else in the world did. If he was your boyhood hero I think you'll love seeing him in this movie - it's a very different character, and a real pleasant shock."

Radcliffe, 26, joins a cast that includes Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman as well as Eisenberg, all of whom appeared in the original 2013 film.

Eisenberg loved returning to the role and says movie goers get to see more of how The Horsemen create their illusions this time round.

He added: "We're playing characters that are the greatest magicians in the world. It's amazing to learn this stuff - the dexterity, but also how this stuff is created."
