Jessica Chastain has revealed that she would love to land a superhero role.
Chastain has voiced her support for a solo Black Widow movie in the last week - which would be the first Marvel film to be led by a female character.
And the Oscar nominated actress says she would loved to have played Black Widow and has no interest in play the girlfriend or daughter in one of these movies.
Speaking to The Guardian, she said: "I would love to do a superhero movie! I would have loved to have played Black Widow.
"A couple of times I've gotten really close. The problem is, if I do a superhero movie, I don't want to be the girlfriend. I don't want to be the daughter.
"I want to wear a f**king cool costume with a scar on my face, with fight scenes. That's what I'd love."
While we won't be seeing Chastain in a superhero film any time soon, she will be back later this year with Interstellar.
The highly anticipated science fiction film will see her work with director Christopher Nolan for the first time, while Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway are also on board.
Chastain has also completed work on A Most Violent Year and Crimson Peak.
