Jurassic World has dominated the global box office in recent weeks and took a further $30.9 million in the U.S. over the weekend - narrowly holding off the challenge from Inside Out with $30.1 million.

So far, Jurassic World has grossed over $1.395 million at the global box office has has jumped over Avengers: Age of Ultron to become the second highest grossing movie of the 2015 so far. After just four weeks it has become the fifth highest grossing movie of all time.

There was no move for Inside Out at two as it failed to overhaul Jurassic World and claim the top spot for the first time - the latest film from Pixar would have dominated the U.S. box office in recent weeks had it not been for the success of the dinosaur movie.

Inside Out has been winning over critics and audiences and is already being tipped to be an Oscar contender at the beginning of next year. There's still two weeks to go until Inside Out hits the big screen here in the UK.

Terminator Genisys was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week as the movie opened at number three. Terminator Genisys is the fifth film in the franchise and the first since Terminator Salvation back in the summer of 2009.

However, the movie could only manage $28.7 million in its opening weekend and had to settle for third. Magcic Mike XXL was the second higest new entry as the Channing Tatum movie opening at number four.

The movie sees Tatum return to the title role, three years after Magic Mike blasted onto the big screen for the first and was a major sleeper hit. Ted 2 rounded off the top five this week - slipping two places from last week's number three.

Mad and Spy were both two place fallers this week as they dropped from four and five to six and seven. Action movie San Andreas was also down two places at number eight.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl was the final new entry inside the top ten as the indie comedy openened at number nine. Dope was this week's biggest faller - down three - as it fell from seven to ten.
