Jurassic World

Jurassic World has made it two weeks at the #1 movie in the U.S. as it took a further $102 million to secure the top spot. The movie has narrowly missed out on breaking the $1 billion barrier this weekend and, so far, has taken over $ 981 million at the global box office so far.

Inside Out was the highest new entry on the chart this week as the latest Pixar movie opened at number two.

The movie took $91 million in its opening weekend which would have usually guaranteed it the top spot at the box office - however, it did put Jurassic World under a little pressure.

Inside Out sees Pete Docter back in the director's chair and this is the first movie offering from the studio since the success of Monsters University back in 2013.

Spy dropped a single pace to three, while San Andreas was also down one at four. Dope was the second and final new entry inside the top ten this week, as it opened at five.

Insidious Chapter 3 fell out of the top five this weekend as it dropped two places from four to number six. Pitch Perfect 2 was also down two at seven, while Mad Max: Fury Road was down a single place at eight.

Avengers: Age of Ultron was a single place faller this week at nine, while Tomorrowland rounded off the top ten after falling from last week's number nine.
