Jurassic World

Jurassic World has taken over £11 million over the weekend as fans continue to flock to see this huge summer blockbuster. So far, Jurassic World has taken over £30 million in the UK alone in just two weeks on general release.

Take That Live was the highest entry inside the top ten this week as the concert film opened at number two. However, it failed to make £1 million at the box office over the weekend.

Spy fell a single place this week to number two, while Mr Holmes was a new entry at four. Mr Holmes sees Ian McKellen play and older version of the iconic sleuth as he reunites with director Bill Condon. McKellen's central performance is one that is already surrounded in early Oscar whispers.

Entourage is a film that hasn't performed too well at the U.S. box office and it could only open at number five in the UK this weekend - that is despite a star-studied cast. San Andrea fell out of the top five for the first time as it dropped three places from three to this week's number six.

The Longest Ride - which is the latest of Nicholas Sparks' novels to be adapted into a film - is the fourth and final new entry inside the top ten, as it opened at number seven.

Insidious Chapter 3 was one of the four place fallers on the chart this week as it was down to number eight. The Empire Strikes Back remained inside the top ten at nine - a two place slip from last week.

Mad Max: Fury Road was the second four place faller as it dropped from six to this week's number ten. So far, the movie has grossed over $346 million at the global box office - easily making back its $150 million budget.
