Set to hit cinemas across the UK at the beginning of next year, the epic finale of the Maze Runner series will come in the form of Maze Runner: The Death Cure. This week, a brilliant new poster promising that “every maze has an end” has been released ahead of the movie’s debut, which you can check out below, along with the film’s official trailer:

Directed by Wes Ball, the film stars Dylan O’Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Nathalie Emmanel, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito and Patricia Clarkson.

The Death Cure will see Thomas lead his group of escaped Gladers on one of the most dangerous expeditions they’ve ever faced, forced to break into the legendary Last City if they’re to save their friends.

That labyrinth is a WCKD-controlled one, and the deadliest of all. Making it out alive means that they’ll get answers to their most burning questions throughout their journey, but getting to that point will prove extremely tricky…

Based on the novel Maze Runner series by James Dashner, this final outing was one that had to be pushed back in production following an injury sustained by O’Brien on set, who was later hospitalised. Fortunately, the injuries were something that the actor managed to battle through, coming back to production and finishing up the role he made famous in the movie series.

To-date, the Maze Runner series has taken in over $600 million in the worldwide box office, so it will be very interesting to see if The Death Cure can do the unthinkable and bring the franchise into the billion club. Either way, we imagine it’s set for some huge success when it makes its premiere in January.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure will come to movie theatres in Britain on January 26, 2018.
