Melissa McCarthy is set to make her big screen return a little later this year with the release of new comedy flick Life Of The Party, in which she stars alongside the likes of Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Molly Gordon, Stephen Root, Jacki Weaver, Jessie Ennis, Adria Arjona, Debby Ryan, and Jimmy O. Yang. This week, a brand new poster for the film has been released, which shows McCarthy’s character Deanna enjoying her return to college following a sudden split from her husband. Check it out below:

Hoping to turn her marriage breakdown into a complete reset, former dedicated housewife Deanna will go back to college in a bid to reclaim her youth, but when she ends up in the same class and school as her daughter, the chance of things not going well rises exponentially.

Despite that, Deanna jumps right into the world of college life, enjoying the freedom that it brings, the fun of enjoying time out of lectures, and the frat boys that are studying and partying alongside her. Able to set her own terms, she’ll come to discover her true self in a senior year that nobody could have predicted – but how will she and her daughter come out of the whole experience?

Directed by Ben Falcone from a screenplay he wrote alongside McCarthy, the movie has an incredible behind-the-scenes crew including director of photography Julio Macat, production designer Rusty Smith, editor Brian Olds, and costume designer Louise Mingenbach. Music comes from Fil Eisler, with distribution for the film by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Falcone and McCarthy also produce through their production company On The Day, alongside producer Chris Henchy, whilst Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener, Michael Disco, and David Siegel all serve as executive producers.

Life Of The Party comes to cinemas across the UK on May 11, 2018.
