Indiana Jones 5 begins shooting in the UK next week

James Mangold, director of the new Indiana Jones movie, is ready to get the ball rolling on the fifth and final instalment of the famous franchise.

Next week (June 7th, 2021) marks the start of shooting in the UK for the new movie, with Harrison Ford still in the titular role. It seems that, if Mangold is ready to get things going, the already-announced cast is all filled out.

Starring alongside Ford is Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, and other brilliant stars. In regards to where the film is shooting, rumours are spreading that the movie will be shooting at Bamburgh Castle, known for being an important Anglo-Saxon site.

Indiana Jones 5’s release date is set to be July 29th, 2022.

Thor 4 has wrapped filming

Thor: Love and Thunder has finished filming; Chris Hemsworth (who plays Thor) and director Taika Waititi (who also plays Korg) have posted a set photo to commemorate the occasion.

The fourth Thor movie has so much to offer, as we’ll be introduced to new characters and will see the return of old ones. The story for this film will seemingly places more focus on Thor’s previous love interest, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman); at a comic con event, Portman held Mjolnir on stage, leading fans to speculate that she will wield the power of the God of Thunder.

A new character we can expect to see, is Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, which throws a new challenge Thor’s (and potentially Jane’s) way.

Waititi has said that he cannot wait to work hard to get this movie finished and ready for its scheduled release date of May, 2022.

Alice Braga joins Ben Affleck in new thriller, Hypnotic

Director Robert Rodriguez had plans to begin filming for his new thriller, starring Ben Affleck, last year (2020). However, the unfortunate pandemic got in the way.

Despite this news, Rodriguez has new plans to begin shooting later this year (2021) in Austin, Texas. Since filming should begin in September this year, the director has added another cast member to the fray, Alice Braga.

The movie will see Batman actor Affleck as a detective who unwittingly becomes tangled in a mystery surrounding his daughter and a classified government program, while in the midst of investigating some high-end crimes.

There is no release as of yet, but as filming starts in September, we could expect to see this movie in 2022 or 2023, although this is just a guess.

Teaser trailer for Demonic has been released

Director of this feature, Neill Blomkamp, has released a teaser trailer for his low-budget horror movie, Demonic.

The official synopsis reads, ‘a young woman who unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed’.

While the trailer doesn’t offer much in regard to story, what it does give us are some striking images as we see a young woman subjected to what looks like an experiment, followed by demonic figures that hide in the dark.

Demonic is scheduled for release on August 20th, 2021.

Donnie Yen joins cast of John Wick 4

Donnie Yen, stuntman, martial artist and film director, will be starring alongside Keanu Reeves, the titular assassin gearing up to star in his fourth John Wick movie.

Yun’s character is said to be a former friend of Wick’s (Reeves); both men supposedly share not only history, but enemies too. This hints that the titular assassin will be getting some back-up this time around, which will be great to see as the fighting sequences may be even better than before (if that’s even possible).

Filming should begin later this year, and it seems Wick will be doing a lot of travelling as the movie is set to shoot in France, Germany, and Japan.

This exciting new chapter in the John Wick franchise is set to be in cinemas in May, 2022.
