Tom Hardy is back on the big screen this week and has been winning over the critics with his fantastic double performance in gangster film Legend.

Legend

This autumn we are going to be treated to a whole host of must-see British movies... and Legend is the first of many that are going to be coming our way. First up, the story of Ronnie and Reggie Kray.

The story of the Kray's is one that has been told on the big screen before, however, this time around, we are going to see Hardy play both Ronnie and Reggie. And it is Reggie who features in this brand new clip as he goes on his first date with Frances, played by Emily Browning:

Hardy has shown off his versatility as an actor over the last couple of years, with roles that has seen him tackle blockbusters, musicals, and compelling drama - it is great to see him back in the gangster genre.

Hardy and Browning lead a talented and exciting cast as Christopher Eccleston, Paul Bettany, Taron Egerton, David Thewlis, Colin Morgan, and Paul Anderson are all on board. The film also sees Brian Helgeland back in the director's chair for the first time since sports biopic 42.

Helgeland is also no stranger to the gangster/crime genre, having written the screenplay for Mystic River and L.A. Confidential. Helgeland won an Oscar for his work on the L.A. Confidential and was nominated for Mystic River. As well as being in the director's chair, Helgeland has also penned the Legend screenplay.

Legend follows the true rise and fall of London most notorious gangsters, Reggie and Ron Kray. Legend is a classic crime thriller taking us into the secret history of the 1960s and the extraordinary events that secured the infamy of the Kray Twins.

We are huge fans of Tom Hardy here are FemaleFirst and it is always great when this fantastic British actor is back on the big screen.

Legend is out now.
