Rings is set to hit the big screen this October and the brand new - and rather creepy - trailer has been unveiled.

Rings

Rings

Rings is the latest instalment in the popular horror franchise and sees F. Javier Gutiérrez back in the director's chair.

This is only the second feature film for the director and comes eight years after he made his debut with Before the Fall back in 2008.

Once again, the story has been inspired by the novel by Koji Suzuki and the Rings screenplay has been penned by Jacob Aaron Estes, Akiva Goldsman, and David Loucka.

The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:

Matilda Lutz is set to take on the central role of Julia and is joined on the cast list by Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D'Onofrio.

A new chapter in the beloved Ring horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it.

She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a 'movie within the movie' that no one has ever seen before."

There are quite a few horror movies on the horizon as we head into the autumn and Rings is one that you cannot miss if you are a fan of this genre.

Rings is released 31st October.
