In 2016, a bunch of animals with high hopes and a talent for singing hit the stage to win big. But, when everything seemed to be falling apart, the group of creatures stuck together and pulled off a show that brought everyone to their feet.

Now, in 2021, we’re seeing the return of enthusiastic koala Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) in Sing 2, as he takes his talented crew to Vegas-like Redshore City, a glamourous place where some of the best stars perform.

Since his theatre is a hit in his hometown, Buster has set his aspirations even higher than before. Buster has a tendency to promise things he doesn’t even know are possible, and this time is no different.

Gunter (Nick Kroll), an unbothered and excited pig, helps Buster think of a way to wow Mr Crystal (Bobby Cannavale) in order to get them a debuting spot in the show. Gunter’s idea seems to be a perfect way to blow the leering wolf away, so the eager koala gets ready to make yet another promise he may not be able to keep.

In order to get his friends a spot at a show at the Crystal Tower, he must impress wolf Mr. Crystal. Buster’s plan? To promise that legendary singer Clay Calloway (Bono), a former rockstar turned recluse, will be in their act; the lion is less than interested, so Buster has a challenge ahead of him once again.

As the ensemble of animals prepare to impress, a number of challenges stand in their way; Rosita’s (Reese Witherspoon) role is at risk due to her fear of heights, Clay has hidden himself away and is proving to be a dead end, and Crystal promises to throw Buster off a roof if he doesn’t deliver...

As with the first film, there will be no lack of incredible music performed by a sensational cast, stunning visuals, and an exciting narrative! Buster Moon’s enthusiasm, as with the 2016 feature, could be what makes or breaks his friends’ dreams along with his own – will he be able to get Clay into the show like he promised?

With the stellar cast of the first movie, such as Reese Witherspoon as Rosita, Taron Egerton as Johnny, Scarlett Johansson as Ash, Tori Kelley as Meena, and more reprising their roles, there’s no doubt this sequel will impress everyone.

Produced by Illuminations, written and directed by Gareth Jennings, and the addition of new cast members including Brooklyn 99’s Chelsea Peretti and Black Panther actress Letitia Wright, Sing 2 is already set to be sensational!

Sing 2 will be in UK cinemas on January 28th, 2022!
