Based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name by R. J. Palacio, upcoming emotional film Wonder tells the story of a young boy named August Pullman, who was born with facial differences and has faced exclusion from a mainstream school because of his condition. See the final trailer for the movie below:

Directed by Stephen Chbosky, the film sees August, affectionately known as Auggie become the most unlikely hero when he enters the local fifth grade. Though there are those not only in his family, but his classmates and the larger community as a whole who struggle to find compassion and accept him into their hearts, his journey is one that will unite them all and prove you can’t just ‘blend in’, when you were born to stand out.

Jacob Tremblay is the talented youngster in the role of Auggie, with the cast being fleshed out by A-stars including Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin and Daveed Diggs.

Chbosky wrote the screenplay alongside Steven Conrad and Jack Thorne, with David Joberman and Todd Lieberman serving as producers. Jeff Skoll, Robert Kessel, Michael Beugg, R. J. Palacio and Alexander Young are all executive producers on the movie.

When it comes to being genuinely touching and emotional, it looks as if Wonder will be ticking all of the boxes for those who like to really connect with what’s on the big screen.

Tackling a number of big themes, Tremblay recently told EW of his role: “I really wanted to be a part of this message. I thought that by doing this role I would really help change the world.”

He added of working with Julia Roberts: “She was really nice to everyone on set. And to watch her act and to see all of her great techniques really taught me a lot, because she’s like, the queen bee of acting.”

Wonder comes to cinemas across the UK on December 1, 2017.
