Olga Kurylenko says she is proud of her Bond girl past.

The actress is back on the big screen this week as she teams up with Tom Cruise for sci-fi film Oblivion but it was her role in Quantum of Solace that really kicked off her career.

And Kurylenko says that she is glad that she has is part of Bond's history.

Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "I don't mind because it will always stay in history.

"I am rather proud to be a part of that legacy and I had a great time on set.

"Producers Barbara (Broccoli) and Michael (G Wilson) are making such great movies, and the Bond films have been so popular over the years. I was so happy for them when they won the Bafta this year."

Oblivion is more of an action role for Kurylenko as Joseph Kosinski adapts his own graphic novel of the same name for the big screen.

Kurylenko has mixed and matched her roles lately as she has moved from the likes of Seven Psychopaths to To The Wonder and now Oblivion.

The movie marks the first time that she has worked alongside Cruise and the film really does kick off the blockbuster summer.
