We are huge fans of Sandra Bullock here at FemaleFirst and the Oscar winning actress is set to return to the big screen in new film Our Brand Is Crisis.

Our Brand Is Crisis

Our Brand Is Crisis

Our Brand Is Crisis will see Bullock team up with filmmaker David Gordon Green for the first time, as he returns to the director's chair for what will be his first film since Manglehorn.

This movie will see Green return to comedy - he has brought us the likes of Pineapple Express and The Sitter - after moving away to tackle more dramatic projects such as Joe and Manglehorn.

The brand new trailer for Our Brand Is Crisis has arrived and we have it for you to check out:

The movie is based on true events, is a remake of the 2005 documentary of the same name and sees Bullock take on the role of political strategist Jane Bodine, who is called in to help save a Bolivian presidential campaign.

A terrific cast has been assembled as Bullock is joined by Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie, Joaquim de Almeidam, Ann Dowd, Scoot McNairy, and Zoe Kazan.

A Bolivian presidential candidate failing badly in the polls enlists the firepower of an elite American management team, led by the deeply damaged but still brilliant strategist 'Calamity' Jane Bodine (Bullock). In self-imposed retirement following a scandal that earned her nickname and rocked her to her core, Jane is coaxed back into the game for the chance to beat her professional nemesis, the loathsome Pat Candy (Thornton), now coaching the opposition.

But as Candy zeroes in on every vulnerability - both on and off the campaign trail - Jane is plunged into a personal crisis as intense as the one her team exploits nationally to boost their numbers. Dramatic, rapid-fire and laced with satire, Our Brand is Crisis reveals the cynical machinations and private battles of world-class political consultants for whom nothing is sacred and winning is all that matters.

While Bullock has enjoyed success lending her voice to Minions this summer, Our Brand Is Crisis is the first time that we have seen her on the big screen since she starred in critical smash Gravity back in 2013. It is great to see her back on the big screen.

Our Brand Is Crisis is released next year.
