Netflix are ramping up the promotion for one of their upcoming Netflix original films, Paradox, and with the release of a brilliant new trailer this week, anticipation is at an all-time high. From Daryl Hannah and starring Neil Young, the movie is described as “a fantasy, a loud poem and a free-spirited tale of music and love.” Get your first glimpse below:

Following the journey of a band of outlaws up in the mountains, Paradox is a film that will push the audience to question exactly when it’s taking place. Without conventional characters, it instead stars ‘The Man in the Black Hat’ (Neil Young), ‘The Particle Kid’ (Micah Nelson), and ‘Jail Time’ (Lukas Nelson).

Passing the hours by looking for treasure, the trio wait for the full moon in the hopes that its magic will lead the way, bringing music and making the spirits fly. It sounds like something unlike all we’ve seen before.

Original music for Paradox comes from Young + Promise of The Real, and Netflix promise that the film will further “the legacy of an iconic performer who has always broken the rules.”

Sounding more unique than perhaps anything we’ve heard of in the modern age, this is a film that won’t be for everybody. It’s certainly an experimental form of a concert film, bringing art to music in a way we’ve never quite seen before. Whether or not that will land with wider audiences remains to be seen, but filmmaker Daryl Hannah should certainly be applauded for trying something new.

Paradox comes exclusively to Netflix on March 23, 2018.
