Penelope Cruz

Penelope Cruz has revealed that she would love to direct a feature film.

Cruz looks set to be the latest actor to make the leap into the director's chair, and she reveals she is working on small projects as she learns the ropes.

Speaking to Variety, the actress said: "I want to build what could be my future in cinema, not always being in front of the camera. I'd also like to direct a feature, maybe 10 years from now.

"For now, I'm directing commercial and video-clips - I love that. And it's the best way to learn. I want to go slowly, step by step.

"I'm following the whole production process very closely, from the film's inception."

We haven't seen Cruz in front of the camera since The Counsellor last year, but she has already completed work on Ma Ma.

Ma Ma will see her work with director/writer Julio Medem, and she will be serving as producer on the project.

The Oscar winning actress has also been linked to a role in Bond 24. However, there has been no official announcement confirming her involvement in the project.
