Sony Pictures Releasing International have this week released an incredible new trailer for their upcoming feature and Peter Rabbit adaptation, along with a gorgeous poster that sees the titular character lay on a whole lot of carrots. Check them both out below:

Directed by Will Gluck, who also co-wrote the screen story and screenplay alongside Rob Lieber based on the characters from the Original Tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, the film sees James Corden voice the mischievous leading character, with Rose Byrne starring opposite as Bea, and Domhnall Gleeson lending his talents to Mr. McGregor. Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki and Daisy Ridley all also star as Peter’s sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail respectively.

The film will see Peter Rabbit feud with Mr. McGregor harder than he has ever done before in the past, battling for control of McGregor’s coveted vegetable garden, as well as the affections of the animal lover who lives just next door.

Speaking about the role, Corden said: “Every British child falls in love with Peter Rabbit sooner or later. I hope that a new generation will see this film and rediscover the incredible books and storytelling of Beatrix Potter and fall in love with the character as I did. That’s why I wanted to be a part of this film.”

Gluck added: “In making this film, we’ve always felt as humble custodians entrusted with Peter’s legacy. My parents introduced Peter to me, and I in turn introduced him to my own children – and it’s my great honour to be directing a film that will bring him to cinemas everywhere.”

The co-writer and director also produces the film, along with Doug Belgrad, Jodi Hildebrand and Jason Lust.

It would seem everybody’s excited for the movie, with the General Manager for the National Trust’s Beatrix Potter Places, John Moffat commenting: “We’re all very excited about the movie, and hope that the film will bring new audiences into contact with Beatrix and inspire them to make a visit to the places in the Lakes that inspired her to write her classic tales.

Peter Rabbit comes to cinemas across the UK on March 16, 2018.
