Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling has described the dream of getting a Hollywood as either a 'premonition or a delusion'.

Gosling is one of the biggest names in Hollywood with the likes of The Notebook, Drive, Crazy Stupid Love and Half Nelson under his belt in recent years.

Speaking in a new documentary Seduced and Abandoned, Gosling says actors set out with a hope of breaking Hollywood with no certainty that they will achieve their dream.

"Everyone's left their family, their homes, their friends [and] their jobs, to pursue a dream, where they know that the percentage of them achieving that dream is never and they do it anyway.

"Everyone has shared the same dream and no one knows whether it's a premonition or a delusion."

2013 was a busy year for the actor with Gangster Squad, Only God Forgives and The Place Beyond the Pines under his belt.

We are going to be seeing less of Gosling on the big screen this year, as he has been focusing on making his directorial debut.

How To Catch A Monster will be that debut; a screenplay that he also penned.

How To Catch A Monster is one of the most anticipated directorial debuts of 2014, as Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks, Matt Smith and Eva Mendes are all set to star.
