Revealed this weekend to a packed-out Hall H as part of this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Twentieth Century Fox have unveiled a stunning and incredibly eerie new poster and image for Shane Black’s highly-anticipated upcoming sci-fi flick, The Predator. Check them both out below:

Reinventing the critically-acclaimed Predator film series, Black’s new movie will star the likes of Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.

When The Predator hits the big screen, audiences will meet stronger, smarter and deadlier versions of the hunters, thanks to the killing machines genetically upgrading themselves with DNA from other species. Though they’re not a threat to the people of Earth, one young boy accidentally triggers their return to the planet, putting the human race in danger of being eradicated altogether.

Holbrook takes on the role of a former Army Ranger, and the father of the young boy who brings the Predators to Earth.

Ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher come together under Holbrook’s character’s lead to form a ragtag team, turning out to be the only people on the planet who can prevent the end of civilisation altogether.

Not all of the Predators on Earth are intent on taking humans down however, as one scene shown off at San Diego Comic-Con proved. The clip saw two Predators fighting one another, with one defending the humans and fighting on behalf of the human race.

The Predator will come to cinemas and IMAX in 3D across the UK on September 12, 2018.
