As one of the most successful men in Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson continues to go from strength to strength, starring in a variety of unique movies and consistently helping to bring in great reviews from critics and wider viewing audiences. This summer, he’ll make his big screen return in Skyscraper – an action-thriller that also stars the likes of Pablo Schreiber, Neve Campbell, and Roland Møller.
With hype for the film hitting an all-time high, a fantastic new trailer from Universal has this week been released. You can check it out below:
Written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who also stars as a producer alongside Johnson, Beau Flynn, and Hiram Garcia, Skyscraper tells the story of former FBI Hostage Rescue Team Leader and US veteran Will Sawyer (Johnson). Now assessing security for skyscrapers, he finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy to bring him down when on assignment in China.
Whilst there, he finds a building renowned as the tallest and safest in the world suddenly on fire. In the frame and suspected of trying to bring the structure to its knees, he’s forced to go on the run in a bid to find those actually responsible, clear his name and rescue his family, who are trapped inside the building, above the fire line.
With executive producers Dany Garcia, Wendy Jacobson, Eric McLeod and Eric Hedayat on board, this 3D action-thriller could turn out to be one of the biggest box office makers this summer! Whatever the case may be, we’re certainly excited about seeing Johnson on the big screen once more!
