Peter Parker may want some time off and a European break with friends, but that won't stop the chaos and villainy of those seeking power from across the globe forcing him to don his Spider-Man suit in a flurry of new locations in upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Tom Holland returns to the titular role, with Parker hoping he can put the crime-fighting aside for a short while so he can enjoy the wonders the world has to offer alongside his best friends Ned (Jacob Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya), but Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is hot on his tail.

Following several mysterious attacks from elemental creatures, Spidey is called upon to help Fury uncover exactly who is behind the chaotic events plaguing the continent.

As you'll see from the new trailer, it's Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) who's wreaking havoc; could this enemy prove too big of a challenge for the Friendly Neighbourhood Hero to take down?

Directed by Jon Watts and also starring Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Martin Starr and Marisa Tomei, Far From Home looks to be an action-packed, comedy-filled offering from the MCU.

Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into cinemas on July 5, 2019.
