Spy

I can't wait to see Melissa McCarthy return to the big screen this summer with Spy, as it is promising to be one of the biggest and best comedies of the year.

Spy sees McCarthy reunite with director Paul Feig for their third project together - they have already enjoyed huge critical and box office success with Bridesmaids and The Heat in recent years.

The movie really does look like it is going to be laugh out loud funny and the new trailer shows McCarthy in action as a wannabe spy:

Feig is a terrific comedy director and this is his first film since The Heat back in summer 2013... and he has assembled another terrific cast.

McCarthy takes on the central role of Susan Cooper and is joined by Rose Byrne, Jason Statham, Jude Law, and Allison Janney. And Feig has hinted that it will be Statham who steals every scene that he is in.

Susan Cooper (McCarthy) is an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst, and the unsung hero behind the Agency's most dangerous missions.

But when her partner (Law) falls off the grid and another top agent (Statham) is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster.

Spy is released June 5th
