Stanley Tucci is the latest name to join Heat.
The movie is a big screen adaptation of the William Goldman novel and will see Simon West in the director's chair.
Jason Statham will take on the lead role of Nick Escalante and Tucci will also star alongside Sofia Vergara, Milo Ventimiglia and Anne Heche.
It has not yet been revealed which role Tucci will play in the movie.
2013 is set to be a busy year for the actor and we have already seen him star in Jack The Giant Slayer.
He will be back on the big screen this summer in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters while he will reprise the role of Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
He has also finished work on Some Velvet Morning and is currently working on The Fifth Estate with Benedict Cumberbatch and Anthony Mackie.
Heat will be released next year.
