Suicide Squad has grossed over $500 million at the global box office.
Despite the film being panned by critics upon release earlier this month, fans have flocked to see the film and it has topped the box office in the U.S. and the UK.
So far, the film has grossed $509 million in the fortnight it has been on release and it is still to open in some major territories.
The movie is closing in on a place in the top ten highest-grossing films of 2016 as comic book movies continue to dominate the box office.
In fact, it could surpass the $519 million of Kung Fu Panda 3 to reach the top ten this weekend - I guess we are just going to have to wait and see.
This was the first time that Suicide Squad had been brought to the big screen as Warner Bros continue to grow the DC comic movie universe.

Sadly, Suicide Squad followed in the footsteps of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in receiving a mauling from the critics. But, much like Dawn of Justice, fans have taken a very different view of the movie.
While Suicide Squad continues to enjoy success, it still has come way to go to match the $872 million gross set by Dawn of Justice earlier this year.
There has already been plenty of talk of a sequel and spin-off films - especially for the character Hayley Quinn. The more money that Suicide Squad makes at the box office, the more likely those projects will go ahead.
The next couple of years is going to be a busy time for Warner and DC as Wonder Woman and Justice League are both set to hit the big screen.
