Liam Neeson has put his stunt training to work in his new movie The Commuter, as can be seen in a thrilling new clip released for the film this week from StudioCanal. Check it out below:

Directed by Juame Collet-Serra and also starring the likes of Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and Sam Neill, The Commuter tells the story of insurance salesman Michael who’s enjoying his usual daily commute home, but whose day is quickly flipped on its head.

Contacted by somebody he’s never met before, Michael is forced to uncover the identity of a passenger on the same train as him before the end of the journey. Working against the clock, he quickly realises that if he doesn’t solve the puzzle in time, the lives of everybody on the train will be put in jeopardy.

With a deadly plan unfolding, Neeson’s character caught up right in the middle of it and everybody on board the train quickly becoming paranoid about what’s going on right under their noses, The Commuter looks like an action flick that could be a lot of fun, and have audiences on the edge of their seats.

Critics are currently split on The Commuter, with the film currently sitting at a total score of 61% on reviews aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes. Whilst 22 reviewers said that the flick was one worth watching, 14 negative reviews were also counted towards its current total. An average rating of 5.5/10 means that this will truly be one that viewers vote for in box office numbers. Is Neeson still able to put millions of bums in seats? We think so.

The Commuter comes to cinemas across the UK on January 19.
