Starring Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners), Hammed Animashaun (Black Mirror), Claudia O’Doherty (Trainwreck), Jemaine Clement (Moana), and Hannah Tointon (Mr Selfridge), comes production company Fudge Park’s first ever comedy feature film, The Festival. Created by Inbetweeners writers and executive producers Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, the movie looks to be one of this year’s funniest releases, and we’ve now got our hands on the very first teaser trailer! Check it out below:

Written by Keith Akushie and Joe Parham, and with Iain Morris serving as director, The Festival comes out in the year that marks the 10-year anniversary of The Inbetweeners. Whilst co-creators Morris and Beesley can only hope to replicate the success that franchise saw, it’s fair to say they’ve cracked the formula when it comes to making Britain laugh, and we’re sure they’ll be doing the same here.

Joe Thomas takes on the role of Nick in the film; a young lad dumped by his girlfriend at graduation, and somebody who suffers a meltdown of gigantic proportions in front of the entire university. Convinced his life has come to an end, it’s up to his best mate Shane (Hammed Animashaun) to come up with the perfect solution.

Three days at an epic music festival is what’s on the agenda, with the help of “festival aficionado” and “certified oddball” Amy (Claudia O’Doherty). Doing their all to make Nick embrace the mayhem, mud, and music that makes up a festival, this may be a recipe for disaster, but it’s certainly one we can’t wait to watch.

Claire Jones (Ghost Stories) serves as producer on the movie for Fudge Park, with Film4 and Entertainment Film Distributors backing and developing the flick.

The Festival comes to cinemas across the UK on August 17, 2018.
