The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has remained at the top of the UK box office and held off the challenge from Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The Desolation of Smaug took a further £5.3 million on its second weekend release to deny the highly anticipated return of Ron Burgundy from holding the #1 spot at the U.S. and UK box office.
The movie has so far grossed over $426 million at the global box office and is continuing to enjoy huge success.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues comes nearly ten years after the release of the first film, and sees Will Ferrell reprise the role of Ron Burgundy.
Frozen fell a single place from two to three while Walking With Dinosaurs and Dhoom 3 were both new entries at four and five.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire fell out of the top five this week as it dropped three spots to number six. The Harry Hill Movie and Moshi Monsters: The Movie were both new at seven and eight.
Gravity and Saving Mr Banks were both the biggest fallers this week as they fell five spots a piece to round off the top ten at nine and ten.
