The eagerly anticipated sequel to The Strangers is set to make its cinematic debut in a couple of months with The Strangers: Prey At Night, and this week, a brilliant little teaser showing just how chaotic and crazy the films going to be has dropped. You can check it out below:
Christina Hendricks leads the flick as Cindy; a woman who sets out on a road trip with her husband Mike (Martin Henderson), teenage daughter Kinsey (Bailee Madison), and son Luke (Lewis Pullman). Though their family excursion looks like it could make for a fun vacation, it quickly descends into madness and sees their peaceful existence turn into a nightmare.
Arriving at a secluded mobile home park, the four face danger when they hear a knock on the trailer door and three masked strangers begin to torment them in a terrifying game of cat and mouse. Though the family are fractured, they’ll have to put their differences aside and come together if they’re to face any chance of surviving.
Directed by Johannes Roberts, the film has already been making waves with critics, but for all the wrong reasons. Reviews collected on aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes have the movie at 36% after 47 total reviews, though audiences score it a little higher at 64%.
Horror fans looking for something unique and different within the genre may not find their fix here, but the release should provide enough fun, jumps and thrills to ensure that it puts bums in seats and has people screaming at the top of their lungs.
The Strangers: Prey At Night is set to come to cinemas across the UK on May 4, 2018.
