The Walk

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of the most in demand actors currently in Hollywood and The Walk is just one of the movies that we are going to be seeing him in this autumn.

The Walk sees Gordon-Levitt team up with filmmaker Robert Zemeckis as they tell the true story of Philippe Petit - the man who crossed the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre in 1974.

Gordon-Levitt is set to take on the role of Petit in the film, which is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender. Are we going to see Gordon-Levitt pick up his first Best Actor Oscar? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.

The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:

Zemeckis has brought us great movies such as Cast Away, and Forrest Gump during his career, and The Walk sees him return to the director's chair for the first time since Flight back in 2013.

The movie is based on the memoir To Reach the Clouds by Petit and Zemeckis has teamed up with Christopher Browne to pen the screenplay.

A great cast has been assembled for the film, as Gordon-Levitt is joined by Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon, and James Badge Dale.

Twelve people have walked on the moon, but only one man has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Centre towers.

Guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Kingsley), and aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, Petit (Gordon-Levitt) and his gang overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan.

The Walk is released in October.
