Taking on the role of Nathan Drake and Sully's (Holland and Mark Wahlberg) adversary Jo Braddock, Gabrielle is involved in some ferocious scenes with the actors.

Speaking with ComicBook, she revealed that she was told to use black belt karate moves whenever she felt they could add to the film, which eventually resulted in her connecting with Holland for real.

She explained: "I mean, it was not my intention to... Like, so here's the thing, because I have a martial arts background, I was always taught, you know, either control – not touching or hitting at all – or like you gotta hit them.

"And so, stunt fighting, it was a hard thing for me, with my muscle memory, to work out, like, 'No, just graze him. Just like tap him a little bit. You don't have to kick him.' And I feel so bad. He's such a sweetheart 'cause he took it like a champ.

"But, yeah, I was not trying to beat up Spider-Man. Please, those who love Spider-Man don't hate me!"

Gabrielle also recently revealed that she suffered an injury whilst filming one of her Uncharted stunts, in a chat with Variety.

“It didn’t hurt at first,” Gabrielle explained. “Two hours later, I was like, ‘Oh wow, my shoulder hurts, I can’t really lift it.’ By that night, I was in excruciating pain, could not move or lift my shoulder at all.”

Fortunately, Wahlberg's on-set doctor took a look at her shoulder, quickly figuring out that it had been dislocated.

“I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that explains the pain,'” Gabrielle added.

Uncharted is available to watch now in cinemas across the UK.
