I am a fan of Tom Hanks in the role of Robert Langdon and he is set to reprise that role in the autumn as he stars in Inferno.

Inferno

Inferno

Inferno is based on the Dan Brown novel of the same name and sees Hanks reunite with filmmaker Ron Howard, as he returns to the director's chair.

I am looking forward to seeing how this action-packed novel translates onto the big screen and here is the great new trailer to take a look at:

It was back in 2006 when Hanks played Langdon for the first time in The Da Vinci Code, a role that he reprised three years later in Angels & Demons.

This will be the fifth collaboration between Howard and Hanks and the first time that we have seen Howard in the director's chair since In The Heart of the Sea.

The director has brought together an impressive cast as Felicity Jones, Ben Foster, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, and Sidse Babett Knudsen will all star alongside Hanks.

Inferno finds Robert Langdon (Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.

The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons were big hits at the box office in 2006 and 2009 and Inferno looks on course to be another big success.

Inferno is released 14th October.
