Christmas is on its way, and so are the festive features that accompany this wonderful time of year. Since it's the holiday season, a new clip from Silent Night has been released by Altitude Films.

Silent Night stars Keira Knightley (Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean), Matthew Goode (The Imitation Game), Lucy Punch (Bad Teacher), with Sope Dirisu (His House) and Lily-Rose Depp (Voyagers).

The forthcoming film is a unique dystopian festive comedy will be released in early December 2021, and focuses on a rather damning situation.

In true British style, while the rest of the world frets over their final hours, a group of old, cheerful friends get together in order to celebrate the Christmas season in a stunning country home.

However, the group’s joyful banter cannot mask their worry at the inconvenience that is the end of the world. In spite of their inevitable annihilation, they adopt a stiff upper lip, crack open another bottle, and dance the night away.

Even with their jolly demeanours, nothing can replace the fear they feel or the bravery needed for their final night on Earth.

The new clip from Silent Night, titled Saving Grace, shows the group at dinner while a member of the party says grace in a very nervous and seemingly distressed manner. No matter the happiness on any one of their faces in this scene, their eyes, especially Knightley’s, show just how scared they all are.

Composure is hard to keep for this group of friends and family, which is understandable as the sense of impending doom inches close and closer to them all.

The short scene seems to set the mood for the rest of the movie; joy is seen as a stark façade and this is conveyed in an incredible way. This scene alone showcases the quality of this feature, and is appears that it will be a very notable feature.

Silent Night will be in cinemas on December 3rd, 2021, and will be available via Altitude Films and other digital platforms on December 6th.
