The Fear Street trilogy, based on the bestselling book series by R. L. Stine, have been releasing periodically throughout July 2021, and tomorrow (16th July, 2021) marks the end of the story. Can those entwined with a Witch’s curse find a way to end it?

The first instalment was titled Fear Street Part One: 1994, and followed Deena (Kiana Madeira) and her friends, along with her brother Josh (Benjamin Flores Jr.) as they tried to save Deena’s girlfriend Sam (Olivia Scott Welch) from death at the hands of Sarah Fier (Elizabeth Scopel), the Witch that haunts Shadyside.

The second movie actually took viewers back in time, as Deena finds a survivor from the 1978 Nightwing Camp murders and we listen to her story. Fear Street Part Two: 1978 followed Ziggy (Sadie Sink) and her sister Cindy (Emily Rudd) as a murderer stalks the campsite, where groups of children are spending some of their summer.

Fier’s presence takes hold of the land, and challenged the sisters to get along long enough to survive the night.

Now, Netflix presents the third and final instalment into this sensational franchise: Fear Street Part Three: 1666. Viewers will witness the origin of the curse that haunts the town of Shadyside; we will see Sarah Fier before her death and hopefully understand how she continues to have a hold over the small town in the present time of 1994.

Fear Street: 1666 is set to follow Fier as we finally get to see what led her to curse the land. The trailer shows us cast members from the first two films as citizens of Fier’s home town which is brilliant, as it encloses the trilogy in its own bubble, making it more unique than it already is.

The music, actors and set design appears to be absolutely amazing, not unlike the first two films, and Deena seems more determined than ever to save Sam from Fier’s curse. The trailer has such a fantastic eerie and isolated atmosphere, as what seems to be a small town has its own assortment of problems.

Deena sees herself as Fier, and also sees those she was close with and those she loves as members of the community in 1666; by seeing through the eyes of the Witch herself, will the determined teenager be able to figure out a way to break the curse, or will her hometown of Shadyside be cursed forever?

Many fans are asking about the other murderers seen in the other two films, such as Billy Barker, The Milkman, and others; people are calling for a series about the killers which, to be fair, would be incredible.

Two things that go really well together are films focusing on real-life events, and Benedict Cumberbatch. His role in 2014 film The Imitation Game definitely set him up to be a fantastic choice for true-life movies...
