The future of the human race hangs in the balance. So, in a bid to find and colonise a distant planet, a group of men and women set off in hopes to find this better future.

The passengers are far from ordinary, however. They are all bred for intelligence and conformity, seemingly made as to not question anything they see or hear, or anything they wish to do.

When the members on board this ship discover unsettling things about the mission they’re on, they begin to rebel and explore their most basic human instincts. Love, sex and parties seem to be a new frontier for the group.

Life on the ship turns unruly, and everyone now seems ruled by fear, passion, and a disturbing and unsatiable need for power.

Each member of the mission seems inwardly curious and a little nervous, sparking the revolution on board the space craft. The shots within the trailer are slightly distorted and the cuts are quick and rapid; this seems to mimic the muddled thoughts of many of the passengers.

Written and directed by Neil Burger (Limitless), the film stars Tye Sheridan (The X-Men franchise), Lily-Rose Depp (Savage), Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), Chanté Adams (Roxanne, Roxanne), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Game of Thrones), Archie Madekwe (Midsommar), Madison Hu (Bizaardvark), and Colin Farrell (The Gentlemen).

If this amazing cast filled with experienced and talented actors isn’t enough to pique your interest, we’re not sure what will. Many faces are recognisable, and from popular films and franchises – all the more reason to check this movie out!

The sci-fi genre can be difficult to master, but this type of content is exactly what we need during a long stint at home. Voyagers appears to aim for racy, disjointed and animalistic scenes that at first sight may seem disconnected, but as the movie progresses we are likely to see these voyagers inner-most desires, making some of them vulnerable.

Despite many movies appearing to hit screens and (hopefully) cinemas in the coming weeks, this kind of racy thriller set in a seemingly small and compact environment is exactly what we all need.

As many of us are at home more often than not, a film where everyone is also in a similar position seems rather fitting.

Voyagers will be coming soon to UK cinemas!
