Based on the novel by Julia Walton comes Words on Bathroom Walls, directed by Thor Freudenthal from a screenplay by Nick Naveda and starring Charlie Plummer and Taylor Russell in its lead roles.

Plummer takes on the role of witty, yet introspective young adult Adam, who's excited about his future pursuing his dream career of becoming a chef.

Those plans are threatened when he is expelled halfway through his senior year following an incident in chemistry class, which leads to his diagnosis of a mental illness.

Despite the analysis, he's forced to attend a Catholic academy to finish out his term, where he hopes to keep his illness a secret until he can enroll at culinary school.

With little hope of fitting in at his new place of education, he's surprised to find a connection with his outspoken and intelligent fellow student, Maya (Russell).

That friendship soon turns into a blossoming romance, where Adam feels inspiration from Maya to open his heart and define his own future, without letting his condition get in his way.

Though there are still challenges ahead, Adam hopes that with the support of his family and new love, he can triumph over everything in his way.
