The Greatest Showman is making waves following its big screen debut, and now a new video has been revealed by Twentieth Century Fox, in which two of the movie’s leading stars – Zac Efron and Zendaya – discuss their roles as two star-crossed lovers, as well as why telling stories such as this one are especially relevant in today’s world. You can check out the brilliant clip below:

“It’s not that tragic love story of them not being able to be together because of literally the colour of their skin,” says Zendaya, before Zac adds: “Our film takes place in 1888 and we still have stuff like this going on.”

The pair also touch about their duet ‘Rewrite The Stars’, with Zendaya describing the collaboration as “so special”.

Described as a “bold and original musical” celebrating the “birth of show business”, The Greatest Showman is inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum and tells the story of a visionary who came from humble beginnings, before going on to create a spectacle that would become a sensation across the globe.

New filmmaker Michael Gracey directs the flick, with La La Land Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul writing the songs for the flick.

Efron and Zendaya are joined in the all-star cast by the likes of Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Keala Settle.
