Stoker

Stoker

Stoker is one of the movies that I am really looking forward to at the beginning of 2013 in what is the first English-language film for director Park Chan-wook.

Not only is it the first foray into English speaking film for Chan-wook but Stoker is the writing debut for actor Wentworth Miller.

Miller is best known for his role in Prison Break but is now showing that he has an interest behind the camera as well.

The movie has just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and we have a new trailer for the film for you to take a look at:

Mia Wasikowska is one of the brightest young talents in Hollywood at the moment with Jane Eyre and The Kids Are Alright in recent years and this movie marks her return.

The role of India is the first for Wasikowska since Lawless and this sees her tackle a new film genre.

She stars alongside Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode and Jacki Weaver in what is set to be an exciting and chilling film.

After India's (Wasikowska's) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman).

Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
