Following his incredible portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Golden Globe Award-winning movie Bohemian Rhapsody, and the actor's accolade for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama at the 2019 Golden Globes ceremony, we've been thinking.

He's been a major small screen star, leading Mr. Robot, and was even recreated digitally after voicing one of the central characters in horror video game Until Dawn. Malek is without a doubt one of the most talented and versatile actors of the modern day, so where exactly should he go next?

7) To James Bond - as a villain

He's refused to rule out joining the world of Bond, and says that it would be a "dream" to play a villain opposite 007. We can't quite see him taking up the titular role once Daniel Craig has officially finished up, but he has the perfect look and style to ensure that he would be an eerie, yet enigmatic figure trying to take down the secret agent.

6) A superhero flick

Whether it's a Marvel Cinematic Universe release, part of the Worlds of DC, or something else entirely, Malek could make an incredible superhero. There are a whole slew of figures from both Marvel and DC that are yet to be cast, and he could slot into a number of them. Over in Marvel, we'd love to see him play Moon Knight, whilst over in DC, we think he could make a fantastic member of the Green Lantern Corps.

5) Sticking to the comic book world...

He would make an incredible Casanova Quinn. The character is one made famous through the aptly-titled Casanova comics, written by Matt Fraction and drawn by artists Gabriel Bá and Fábio Moon. Casanova is a freelance thief and espionage artist who doesn't associate with the rest of his family, but a tragedy brings the clan back together at a funeral which thrusts the anti-hero's life into chaos. This is the espionage story that Malek could truly make his own.

4) A horror movie

Malek has the ability to be utterly charming without opening his mouth. There's just something about his eyes that immediately draws you in! That's exactly the sort of thing the Big Bad in a modern-day horror would use to their advantage, so we could totally see him being the villain in a new slasher franchise, or something along those lines!

3) An Indiana Jones recast

He may not be everybody's first choice when it comes to recasting Indiana Jones, and perhaps the role made famous by Harrison Ford should never be given to another actor. If the franchise is to continue however, there will eventually need to be some fresh meat given the opportunity to shine. Filmmakers gave Shia LaBeouf a shot, but that didn't work out. Malek could be the perfect man to jump the queue and be next in line.

2) Something opposite Timothée Chalamet

Ever since we saw the picture above, we couldn't stop thinking about how brilliant a Malek-meets-Chalamet flick could really be. Whether they're brothers as the original tweet suggests, lovers, or something else entirely, their talents are undeniable and their chemistry would be off the charts. Let's hope someone makes it happen!

1) A Mick Jagger biopic

He's already played one legend of the music industry, so why not make it a double? He's certainly got the right looks to take on Jagger, and his flamboyance - which was showcased in the best way throughout Bohemian Rhapsody - would no doubt allow him to recreate some of Jagger's famous dance moves.
