The long wait for Suicide Squad is finally over as the comic book movie has hit cinema screens in the UK today.

Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad is one of the most talked about movies of the year as these iconic bunch of criminals has been brought to the big screen for the first time as part of the ever-growing DC Comic Universe.

For all of you who are going to be heading to the cinema to see Suicide Squad tonight or over the weekend, we have a trio of clips to whet your appetite. Take a look:

The movie marks the return of David Ayer to the director's chair for what is his first feature film since Fury. As well as being in the director's chair, he has penned the screenplay and is his first foray into the comic book movie world.

The director has brought together an impressive cast as Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Cara Delevigne, Karen Fukuhara, and Adam Beach are on board as Deadshot, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Rick Flag, Amanda Waller, Boomerang, El Diablo, Killer Croc, Enchantress, Katana, and Slipknot.

It feels good to be bad... Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do.

However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?

Sadly, the movie has struggled critically this week but it looks like fans are going to come out in force to support the film. It will be interesting to see just how much money it makes at the box office over the next few weeks.

Suicide Squad is out now.
