Equity

Equity marks the return of Meera Menon to the director's chair for only the second feature film of her career to date.

It was back in 2013 that Menon made her feature film directorial debut with Farah Goes Bang and it is good to see her back. This summer is packed with movies by exciting up and coming female filmmakers and Menon is one to watch out for.

The brand new trailer for Equity has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at. Check it out:

The movie sees Anna Gunn take on the central role of Naomi Bishop and she is joined on the cast list by James Purefoy, Sarah Megan Thomas, Alysia Reiner, Craig Bierko, and Margaret Colin.

A female investment banker, fighting to rise to the top of the corporate ladder at a competitive Wall Street firm, navigates a controversial tech IPO in the post-financial crisis world, where loyalties are suspect, regulations are tight, but pressure to bring in 'big money' remains high.

Equity premiered at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year and has gone on to play at a string of different festivals.

The summer season is packed with big budget blockbusters movies, it is great to see this financial drama offer something a little different at this time of year.

Equity is released on 29th July in the U.S.
