Paramore are set to release the single ‘The Only Exception’ in the UK on April 5th. This track is the third single from their Number 1 Gold certified album ‘brand new eyes’ and you can have a first look at their new video below.
A deeply personal song for Hayley (Williams, vocals), this acoustic ballad gives an unapologetic glimpse into the inner workings of what was happening in her head over the past two years, a reality that was initially scary for the 21-year-old to advertise to the rest of the world.
“Now that it’s all said and on paper I’m not as insecure about [these lyrics] because I think these songs (on the album) form a full story that people are going to be able to connect with.” The Only Exception touches on how her parents’ relationship has influenced the way she deals with, and thinks about, love.
