With swaggering vocals and a piano style that has been compared to a young Harry Connick Jnr, Anthony Strong is a man who's already achieved so much - the biggest of which have been until now overseas.

Signed to Naive Records, he's been incredibly busy as of late and was invited as a guest onto Harald Schmidt's show - 'The German Jonathan Ross' - where he saw a great reception. With his last album launched with a live performance on Germany's biggest breakfast show ZDF Morgenmagazin, he reached number one in the jazz charts.

Taking two years to put this new offering together, he's showing intent of sticking to what he does best with jazz standards and classics through to Motown and early Stevie Wonder.

Speaking about the record, he says: "In mid-2013, I started compiling a list of songs that would form the basis of my new record. I'd played a handful of big band shows over the last year, and I found myself addicted to the sound of a big horn section. I knew the sound I wanted (more energy and "POW!") and so I started on the arrangements. A week later, I'd finished all the songs."

Over 20 musicians were drafted in by Anthony to help fulfil his vision, amongst them Seb De Krom, Nigel Hitchcock and Gareth Lockrane, as well as some of London's top session players in an incredible horn section.

Anthony Strong's brand new album of the same name as his new single - 'On A Clear Day' - is out now.
