Roger Waters admits he was wrong to sue his Pink Floyd bandmates after leaving the group.
The bass player and singer launched a lawsuit against bandmates Nick Mason and David Gilmour in 1985 to try and get them to stop using the Pink Floyd name and playing the songs they wrote together, but admits he now regrets his actions.
Speaking to BBC World News' HARDtalk, he said: "I did think that was wrong, and I was wrong. Of course I was. Who cares?
"It was a commercial decision and in fact it's one of the few times that the legal profession has taught me something. Because when I went to these chaps and said 'listen we're broke, this isn't Pink Floyd anymore', they went, 'What do you mean? That's irrelevant, it is a label and it has commercial value, you can't say it's going to cease to exist."
Roger's rift with the other members of Pink Floyd was eventually healed and he regrouped with Nick, David and keyboard player Richard Wright to play a momentous show at the Live 8 event in London in 2005.
Roger has recently been touring his version of classic Pink Floyd album 'The Wall' around the world, and is also planning a new solo album.
He added: "I am going to make another record. I've had a very very strong idea, and I shall pursue it, and I will make at least one more record and I am really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into it."
