Great Pagans - Great Pagans EP

Great Pagans - Great Pagans EP

Brighton’s emerging D.I.Y label / collective Anti-Ghost Moon Ray Records are set to unleash yet another ‘One to Watch’ act from their small and specially selected roster.

Following on from Gazelle Twin’s breathtaking and critically acclaimed 2010 debut ‘The Entire City’ and Bernholz’s ‘Austerity Boy’ - a Sunday Times Culture ‘Hottest Download’ - earlier this year, Anti Ghost Moon Ray Records now bring you Great Pagans debut release.

Great Pagans is the first band to release from the label, one exuding a different sound and energy, but the same perfectionist quality of the label’s previous releases.

Great Pagan’s sound is dripping with driven guitar riffs and quick-witted indie-pop refrains - 'Not been myself lately and I’m not too sure who’s replaced me' - played out in a hazy soundscape of fuzzy feedback and psychedelia.

A sound straddling the shoe-gaze sonic atmospherics of the likes of My Bloody Valentine and the alternative noise-rock whirlwind heat of Sonic Youth, with a glistening shimmer of the suave, sophisticated pop-sensibilities of Bowie.

Great Pagans release their 6-track self-titled debut EP on 8th October Digitally and on Limited Edition Cassette Tape, via Anti-Ghost Moon Ray Records.
